Consultation has concluded
We are planning to set up a new list of companies (called a Minor Works Framework) to help us carry out small repair and improvement jobs across Gentoo homes and neighbourhoods.
Before we do this, we want to hear from you — our customers. We’re asking you to fill in a short online questionnaire. Your answers will help us make better choices about how we organise this work.
Some of the work might cause some disruption to your homes or streets. We care about how this affects you. By telling us your thoughts now, you can help us plan things better and cause less disruption in the future.
What types of work are we talking about?
Here’s a simple list of the types of jobs we’re planning:
Lot No.
Works/Services Covered
Lot 1 – Outdoor Works
Garden walls, fences, driveways, potholes, and drains.
Lot 2 – Specialist Building Works
Repairs to buildings with cracks or subsidence.
Lot 3 – External Building Works
Fixing brickwork, walls, balconies, and insulation.
Lot 4 – Inside Property Works
Kitchens, bathrooms, doors, floors, and decoration.
Lot 5 – Roof Repairs
Small roofing jobs.
Lot 6 – Windows & Doors
Quick repairs to windows and doors.
Lot 7 – Fencing
Putting up wooden fences
Lot 8 – Floor Coverings
Laying carpets and vinyl flooring, including wet rooms and shared areas.
Lot 9 – Gardening
Cutting grass and other garden jobs
Lot 10 – Metal Works
Iron gates, metal fencing, and handrails
Lot 11 – Scaffolding
Putting up and taking down scaffolding.
Lot 12 - Demolitions
Small building knock-downs.
Why are we asking you to get involved?
This questionnaire is the first step in making sure we understand what you need. We want to know:
How you think we should organise the work.
How we can make our services better.
How these services can help the community.
What you expect from us.
Which companies might be able to do the work.
Thank you for taking the time to take part. Your views are really important and will help us shape how we do things
